Sea Salt Rinse:

A toothache if occurs due to mild teeth infection and if it is painful to get relief from it, we can use some warm water and one spoon sea salt. Using this water gurgle in the mouth, make sure it splashes around the affected area. This is the most famous home treatment for tooth pain.


Clean Your Mouth:

Teeth pain mostly occurs due to food fixed into teeth while eating. This food is a generated cavity in teeth. So get relief from it-

  • Floss around the tooth.
  • Brush that area. If your ache is caused by gingivitis keep brushing until the area no longer feels as sensitive.
  • Use rinse to wash away dislodged particles.



For minor toothaches use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Aspirin and Ibuprofen. Tylenol is one more effective over-the-counter painkiller. These drugs help in providing quick and effective relief. Use them as recommended by the doctor or as suggested on the pack.


Hydrogen Peroxide:

This procedure cleans up the affected area and helps to ease the pain. But rinse your mouth thoroughly after this and take precautions NOT to swallow the peroxide.


Cold Compress Home Remedy:

Fill a food storage bag with ice. Use a thin cloth to cover it and apply it directly to the area just outside the tooth. The cold temperature eases the pain. Keep in mind NOT to apply the ice directly to the tooth. This can elevate the pain as teeth that are aching are often quite sensitive to hot or cold temperatures.


Acupressure Method:

Another quick home remedy for tooth pain is acupressure technique. Press on the back of hand between your thumb and index finger with the thumb of another hand. Apply pressure for 2 minutes.


Ginger and Red pepper:

Make a paste of powdered ginger and red or cayenne pepper. Add a few drops of water to make the paste. Soak a cotton ball in it and place it on your painful tooth. It will help to relieve tooth pain.
